 Facebook vs. Twitter audience engagement: I posted a link to an original memoir piece, “Mom are you a robot?”, on both on Facebook and Twitter. I have more contacts on Facebook, but I use Twitter more exclusively. I think this is reflected in my stats. More people visited from Facebook, but the people who came from Twitter stayed a bit longer. This could easily be the opposite for someone who uses the services differently, but I thought it was interesting to see how my stats are changing depending on where I spend my time, and therefore where I develop relationships. Or maybe people that use twitter can’t read as fast as Facebook users, but I find this less likely ;) |
